Mrs. Mabel Asi Sagoe

Chief Director

Mabel Sagoe has over 30 years working experience, with 20 years in both public and private institutions in the transport industry. She has performed key roles across these institutions and also championed a number of projects. She has worked as an administrator, client service executive, and sales and marketing personnel.

She brings years of expertise having worked at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) for 15 years as the Director, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation. In the year 2008, she was appointed to act as Chief Executive and during this time, she also doubled as Director Planning Monitoring and Evaluation.

Her accomplishments while at DVLA include the establishment of On-site bank and the Client Service Units at various offices; introduction of the DVLA Express Mobile Service (DEMOBS) and leading the preparation of the first Standard Operating Manual for DVLA operations. Prior to working at DVLA, she worked at Intercity STC (ISTC) as the Head of Customer Care and was later transferred to Operations to strengthen the Unit. While there, she contributed immensely towards building ISTC’s image by introducing new smartly designed uniforms and grooming for ticketing personnel as well as documenting conditions for boarding. Mabel’s career in the transport industry was nurtured from Mechanical Lloyd where she worked as a sales executive. By dint of her hard work, she was awarded the best sales executive in 1999.

Mabel Sagoe attained her Bachelor of Arts degree (Hons) Sociology with Psychology from the University of Ghana (1988), after which she pursued a Post-Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). Being a proponent of education and self-development, she attained an MBA at the University of Ghana, a PPP Skills and Competency Development Certificate from the Institute for Public- Private Partnerships (IP3), an LLB from the University of London. She has completed a Delft Road Safety Course and undertaken a number of Capacity Building Courses.

Mabel is a member of the Institute of Directors for Corporate Governance and spends her free time lecturing at the National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI).
