MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT HONOURS CHIEF DIRECTOR MRS. MABEL ASI SAGOE ON HER RETIREMENT

A send-off durbar to honour the outgoing Chief Director of the Ministry, Mrs. Mabel Asi Sagoe, has taken place within the enclave of the Ministry.

Mrs. Sagoe is retiring after three decades of dedicated service within the public sector.

The sector Minister, Hon. Joseph Bukari Nikpe, Heads of fifteen agencies under the Ministry, and officers of the Ministry gathered to honour Mrs. Sagoe’s outstanding leadership and commitment to the transportation industry.

In his remarks, the Minister praised Mrs. Sagoe for her professionalism, humility, and commitment to duty, describing her as a pillar of strength and a model of public service excellence.

He commended her for fostering teamwork and supporting the Ministry’s agencies to deliver on their mandates in aviation, maritime, rail, and road transport.

In her response, Mrs. Sagoe expressed deep gratitude to the Minister, the Deputy Minister, Directors, and staff for their support throughout her tenure.

She described the moments as deeply moving and humbling, adding that any achievement during her leadership was made possible through teamwork and shared commitment.

“Leadership is never about one person. It is about nurturing others, building systems, and creating an environment where everyone can thrive,” she noted.

Mrs. Sagoe thanked her family and friends for their continuous support during her public service journey and the Planning Committee for organizing the occasion.

Heartfelt tributes, music, and opportunities to reflect on her remarkable career were all part of the celebration.

Her legacy of honesty, hard work, and mentoring was praised by attendees, who described her as an example to many both inside and beyond the Ministry.

As she retires, Mrs. Mabel Asi Sagoe leaves behind a solid foundation and a track record of excellent service that will serve as an inspiration to upcoming generations of public servants.
