The Ministry of Transport has successfully held its End-of-Year Durbar, providing a strategic platform for management and staff to evaluate annual performance, celebrate key milestones, and address operational challenges.
The durbar served to reinforce the Ministry’s unwavering commitment to its core mandate: delivering an efficient, safe, and integrated transport system for the Republic of Ghana.
The event, held within the Ministry’s enclave, was graced by the Minister for Transport, Hon. Joseph Bukari Nikpe, and the Deputy Minister, Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey.
In his keynote address, Hon. Joseph Bukari Nikpe commended the staff for their professionalism and resilience. He emphasised that their collective dedication has been instrumental in the successful implementation of policies, effective sector coordination, and the enhancement of service delivery across the nation. The Minister further charged the workforce to maintain a high standard of discipline and innovation, ensuring the Ministry remains agile in meeting the evolving transport demands of the coming year.
Adding to the leadership remarks, the Chief Director, Mr. William Kartey, detailed the administrative and operational successes achieved throughout the year.
He encouraged staff to remain steadfast in upholding the values of integrity and accountability, noting that the strong rapport between management and personnel is the cornerstone of the Ministry’s achievements.
